Many of our core beliefs were shaped by our late elder, Voy Wilks, whose deep study of Scripture led to a greater understanding of the Appointed Times, the sacred names of the Creator and Messiah, covenant theology, and the oneness of Yahweh. Throughout his ministry, from the 1970s to the early 2000s, he authored hundreds of articles, leaving behind a wealth of biblical insight. As a founding father and trailblazer of AOY, his legacy continues to inspire us. He passed away in 2010, but his dedication to truth still impacts our faith today.

Elder Farris Wilks serves as the pastor of our Assembly, carrying forward the legacy of his father, Voy Wilks. Under his leadership, our congregation has grown from humble beginnings into the thriving community we are today. Pastor Farris warmly welcomes you to join us for the Sabbath, where we come together for worship, biblical teaching, and meaningful fellowship.

Kyle Wilks, son of Pastor Farris and Jo Ann Wilks, was appointed as an elder of our Assembly since 2021. Raised in the Torah-based faith, he actively leads and supports our community with a strong commitment to Scripture. As one of the oldest sons of Farris and Jo Ann, Kyle continues to be a dedicated leader and representative of our Assembly, guiding others in faith and truth.

Josh Wilks, son of Farris and Jo Ann Wilks, is a devoted leader within our Assembly. Raised in the faith, he actively serves and contributes to both our community and the broader Body of Messiah in many ways. Alongside his wife, Jolene, he remains dedicated to upholding and sharing the truth of Scripture.

Wendall Clawson has joyfully served the Assembly in many capacities, from playing on the worship team to overseeing construction projects. His dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on our community. Wendall is a steadfast and committed servant, always willing to step in where needed. He and his wife, Anna Clawson, share a deep love for faith and family, and their legacy continues to bless the Assembly.

Jose Ireta joined the AOY staff in 2021 as the Interim Youth Pastor after retiring from a career in education. Since then, his role transitioned to that of Administrator in 2022. He provides leadership and oversight to most ministries. Jose was appointed as an elder in 2023. He is married to Yanina who also serves in various capacities.

Darren and Josh are the heart of our Assembly’s maintenance team, playing a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities always look and feel welcoming. Their hard work and attention to detail help create an environment that is fresh and inviting. Whether you’re visiting for a regular service or during a Feast, don’t hesitate to reach out to them if you need assistance or have any questions—they’re always happy to help!

Aiden has been a part of the AOY Worship Team since 2017 and joined the staff in 2022 as Director of Sound and Media. In 2023, he also began serving as Youth Pastor, working to guide and support the next generation in their faith. He is married to Lace, who helps AOY Youth and serves in other areas as needed. Together, they are committed to serving the Assembly and supporting its ministry.
